Week 8: Lesson Learned Presentation (Midterm)

Lesson Learned Presentation (Midterm)

The combination of technological innovation and entrepreneurship to create value for customers, investors, and society is known as TECHNOPRENEURSHIP. Starting a business or solving societal problems through the technology industry necessitates a unique set of skills and knowledge, such as ideation, market research, perseverance, and so on.

Throughout my eight-week journey in Technopreneurship, I learned several important lessons that have helped me develop a thorough understanding of the startup process.
  • In week 1, each of us took a personality test, and I discovered my personality type, which is a PROTAGONIST. As an ENFJ protagonist, I feel called to serve a higher purpose in life, and even though I already knew who I was, a personality test confirmed that I have thoughtful and idealistic characteristics. With this trait, I can strive to have a positive influence on others and I've also discovered that I am an Extrovert who enjoys helping others.
  • The Gamechangers, our team, was formed in week 2 and has a name that reflects our commitment to breaking down barriers and challenging the status quo in our respective fields. This week, we focused on ideation and market research which taught me the value of a good idea that solves a real market problem. I also learned that market research is critical for validating ideas and understanding the needs and preferences of the target audience.
  • Week 3 taught me that the Value Proposition Canvas is a powerful tool that technopreneurs can use to develop a product or service that solves their customers' problems, meets their needs, and, ultimately, creates value for both the customer and the company.
  • Week 4 taught me that effective communication and storytelling are essential skills for launching a successful technology startup. By effectively communicating the value proposition of their technology and telling a compelling story, technopreneurs can engage stakeholders and gain the support they need to bring their ideas to fruition. This week we were able to learn about our potential commuter experiences and problems without disclosing our potential solution.
  • Week 5 taught me that interview planning and hypothesis testing are two essential tools in technopreneurship. Through interview planning, technopreneurs can gain valuable insights from potential customers and experts, while hypothesis testing allows them to test the validity of their assumptions and make data-driven decisions about their venture. By utilizing these tools, technopreneurs can increase their chances of success in the competitive and dynamic world of technopreneurship.
  • Week 6 taught me that validation is an important step in technopreneurship because it helps to validate ideas and solutions and determine whether they meet customer needs and market demand. To reduce the risks associated with launching a new venture or product, the validation process employs techniques such as market research, problem validation, and etc. Technopreneurs can improve their product or service based on customer feedback to increase market success and build a loyal customer base.
  • Week 7 taught me that user interface/user experience (UI/UX) is an important component of technopreneurship because it allows startups to create visually appealing, user-friendly products that provide a positive experience for their target audience. Startups can use UI/UX design to differentiate themselves from the competition, increase user adoption and engagement, and ultimately drive business success.  By prioritizing UI/UX design, startups can create products that meet the needs of their users, stand out in a competitive market, and achieve long-term success.
Overall, the lessons learned over the last few weeks emphasize the importance of understanding oneself and others, ideation and market research, effective communication and storytelling, interview planning and hypothesis testing, validation, UI/UX design, and a variety of other skills in technopreneurship. Technopreneurs can use these tools and techniques to develop products or services that meet the needs and preferences of their target audience, gain valuable insights from potential customers and experts, test the validity of their assumptions, reduce the risks associated with launching a new venture or product, and ultimately increase their chances of success in the competitive and dynamic world of technopreneurship.

THEGAMECHANGERS:

WE TRIED, BUT FAILED; WE TRIED AGAIN, BUT FAILED. WE WILL TRY AGAIN UNTIL WE SUCCEED IF WE FAIL AGAIN.  Trying, failing, and eventually succeeding is an inevitable part of the entrepreneurial and innovative journey. Accepting this process and learning from both successes and failures can result in personal and professional growth, as well as increased chances of long-term success.
